Move, scale, and rotate custom objects

Position a custom 3D object with the transform gizmo in the 3D view, or dial in exact values in the object’s panel.

Select the object

  1. Switch to the 3D (or Split) view — custom objects render only in 3D.
  2. Click the object in the 3D view. Its panel opens on the right and the transform gizmo toolbar appears.

Use the transform gizmo

  • Move (W) — drag the arrows to slide the object across the map.
  • Rotate (E) — drag the ring to spin the object around its vertical axis.
  • Scale (R) — drag to grow or shrink the object uniformly.

Click a mode in the gizmo toolbar or press its key (W / E / R) with the 3D view focused.

Use the object panel

The selected object’s panel gives you precise control:

  • Dimensions — set Scale, Rotation, and Height (m off ground) as numbers. Height lifts the object off the ground plane (for example, a sign mounted above a storefront).
  • Floors — choose whether the object appears on all floors or only the current one.

Notes

  • A newly uploaded object is placed at the venue center and selected automatically — move it from there. See Upload a custom 3D object.
  • Transform edits are draft changes shared live with collaborators; they publish with the object.
