How to delete floors

Delete a floor to permanently remove a level from your venue along with everything on it. A venue must always keep at least one floor, so the last remaining floor cannot be deleted.

Steps

  1. Open the Floors strip in the Layers panel and click the floor button to open the switcher.
  2. Click the trash (Delete floor) button next to the floor you want to remove. The delete confirmation dialog opens.
  3. Review what will be deleted. The dialog itemizes the structures and routing, map suites, doors, name label, custom 3D objects, floor connections, floor-only style layers, and pinned reference images that belong to this floor.
  4. Type the floor’s name in the confirmation field. The Delete floor button stays disabled until what you type matches the floor name exactly.
  5. Click Delete floor.

Notes

  • A venue must keep at least one floor. When only one floor remains, its trash button is disabled.
  • Deleting a floor is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Custom objects and style layers that also appear on other floors are not deleted — this floor is just removed from them. The dialog notes when this applies.
  • Deleting the default floor promotes another floor to default automatically. Deleting the active floor switches you to a remaining floor.

Publish impact

Deleting a floor removes it from your draft right away, along with the structures, routing, map suites, doors, floor-only style and object layers, floor connections, and reference images pinned to it. Nothing leaves the live map yet. On Publish, the floor and the content tied to it are removed upstream, the same way any other edit is committed. Style layers and custom objects that are also used on other floors stay — only their link to this floor is dropped.
